Attention Wolf Lovers! These are available through my Blythelight ETSY shop. I also have a small piece (on flat pine, not a gourd) currently available at Leppell’s Flowers & Gifts in Forks. If you happen to be in town, it’s a great place to shop for fun and unusual Twilight-inspired gifts. Leppell’s is located right across from the Forks High School at 130 South Spartan Avenue.
If you connect with wolves, you will understand the desire to capture the complex character of these beautiful creatures in pyrography, where every single hair is painstakingly burned into the gourd, and in so doing, the personality of each individual begins to surface. In one, a female wolf looks out beside a birch tree that arches up and around the gourd. She is in full winter coat. In another, wolf brothers howl at the moon and into the night. A third looks out with the Olympic Mountains in the background. These are the river keepers, the protectors of the human spirit, those that parole the territory where the mountains meet the sea.
The gourds measure about 5″ high by 3.5″ diameter. The imperfections in the gourd give it a lot of character. It is protected with a sealant coat.
These are one-of-a-kind (OOAK) items. I couldn’t make another exactly like it if I tried. I am happy to do custom items. Please contact me if you are interested.
Thanks for visiting my website, and I am always glad to hear from other artisans, Twilight fans, and people who just like getting out and enjoying the outdoors!
