Northwest Photography

These are a few of the pictures we take while kayaking, surfing, hiking, and camping out on the Olympic Peninsula and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

I have these for sale on postcards and notecards at LEPPELL’S FLOWER AND GIFTS, located at 130 South Spartan Avenue in FORKS, WA – that’s right across from the Forks High School (home of the Spartans, of course!)

You may also purchase them through my Blythelight ETSY store (notecards only).

If you would like a framed photograph or something customized, please contact me personally.

Check back with us – we will be adding more as we go along.

Enjoy!

More about the Olympic Peninsula:

We are extremely fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth: the Olympic Peninsula, Washington State, USA, between the rivers and the sea with a backdrop of the Olympic Mountains, just 75 miles from the now-legendary town of Forks. We are in what is called the “Banana Belt,” because the great majority of rain – literally 12-14 feet of it – falls on the Olympic Mountains, but only 17 inches or so falls here in Sequim.

The Olympics are incredible: a wonderland of moss, ferns, Sitka spruce, and snow-capped peaks that are some of the most spectacular on the planet; some of the steepest, fastest flowing rivers found anywhere plummet down its slopes to the sea. The region is home to whales, salmon, eagles, elk, and bear. For thousands of years, several First Nation tribes have also called this area their home. Indeed, the place is sacred.

We are living on the edge, near the most northwesterly point of the contiguous United States. Saltwater laps our shorelines to the north in the Strait of Juan de Fuca and to the west in the great Pacific.

We are happy to share our explorations on these pages.
