BSE Outdoor Gear

Our family loves the outdoors - whether it’s surfing, kayaking, hiking, bicycling, gardening, or you name it. We are fortunate to live in the Pacific Northwest on the Olympic Peninsula where those activities are right out our back door. The wind, rain, and tides, however, have a huge influence on what we do.

Good gear can make all the difference!

But ouch! It comes at a price! And you can’t always find what fits, whether it’s your size or your needs.

That’s when we got into making our own and, in the process, not only realized a certain satisfaction in being a little more self-sufficient, but also that - hey - there are others out there that could use this stuff!

Over the years, I’ve made snowsuits, tents, dog packs, llama packs, bags, kites, spinners, and numerous other items that might fall into the “gear” category. (We also make an assortment of backpacking foods, but that’s another story still awaiting FDA approval before we can sell. Stay tuned!) Now a whole world is opening to us with advanced fabrics that are easily available if not locally, then over the Internet.

So - if you are looking for a reasonably priced custom-made item you can’t seem to find anywhere else, this just may be the place!
